Our Commitment
Alternative Power Sources Limited is dedicated to engineering, supplying and providing quality equipment, systems and services and to develop the value of wind, solar (PV and thermal), and hydro energy in Jamaica and the wider Caribbean. We are committed to learning and collaboration and maintain association with the Florida Solar Energy Center (FSEC) and Solar Energy Industries Association (U.S.A.) as one avenue to interact and keep abreast with developing solar technology.
Our team is dedicated to being on par with new technological developments globally in the industry and training is ongoing. We look towards the future and to expanding the effective use of renewable energy in Jamaica and the Caribbean and leveraging our management, associations with gobal industry leaders and technological experience for ongoing win-win collaborations.
APS has installed over two hundred (200) renewable energy systems in Jamaica comprising over One Hundred and Eighty Four Kilowatts (184KW) of PVs and over Thirty Five Kilowatts (35KW) of Wind Turbines. Five of these systems are the prime power source for the facility and is independent of the grid (JPSCo.). APS’s firsts include: first Town House Complex (The Doric) with PVs in Jamaica and first three phase inverter/PV/Generator Hybrid (Green Produce Farm) system in the Caribbean. Our clients include:
